New drug for CIDP in clinical trials

      I came across this on an ALS forum about a new drug ”SF-1019” for CIDP is advancing in clinical trials with very good success so far. Here’s the Biotech’s (argyll biotechnologies) web site thats developing it and more info on it.

      Thanks for the posting John as i went on there and researched what the people on that MS forum were saying about it. Most of the people on that specific thread about SF-1019 were not very positive about it although i did notice the postings were in 2006 and the last one in march 2007. The posting on the ALS forum (ALS-TDF) yesturday nov 2007 stated that Argyll Biotech has applied to the FDA for Human trials here in the USA so it will be interesting to see what happens.

      Is this the same drug that has been shown to produce the opposite effect on ALS patients? I will check to see if I can find the name of that drug. :confused:
