I finally found what is the name of the sleep disturbance I have, is myokymia.
I´d never heard it. It is supposed to be treated with the gabapentin, which I take 3x400mg a day.
Does anybody has found that can not sleep because of myokymia,?
Not because of insomnia as we are treated with sleeping pills.
Myokymia:
irregular firing of multiple muscle fibers spontaneously; it tends to be in bursts; if persistent, it is termed Neuromyotonia, which is associated with sustained muscle contraction. Myokymia may affect the eyelids (benign); it may signal an underlying problem such as thyrotoxicosis (hyperthyroidism). Myokymia in the facial muscles may signal MS.
