msgtjtgang- It is enough to make a grown man weep to learn of someone with CIDP stuck in the Veteran’s Administration (VA) cobweb.
Perhaps there are others who stop by this forum and are willing to speak up.
I have had Veterans tell me that even though they are military retired, and I quote- ‘I can see any doctor I want” unquote. Far be it for me to understand how they do it. When questioned further they repeat, “I see whoever I want.”
Others veterans have mentioned having something called TriCare. I know nothing about the system except to say, thankfully, the VA rejected my application.
At least you have a neurologist now. Do whatever it takes, by hook or crook to get outside the VA system and find a CIDP specialist.
Best of luck to you.
