IF you have CIDP?
Well, web up the following: CIDP DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA
Here are some of the easiest sites found:
URLhttp://archneur.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/full/60/12/1755URL
URLhttp://www.medicalcriteria.com/site/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=265%3Aneurocipd&catid=64%3Aneurology&Itemid=80&lang=enURL And…
URLhttp://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12707417URL
It seems more emphasis at first is on the nerve conduction studies, but then the blood work and reflexes do come into play… they used to be presented consistently in all formats? But these days they vary and it can make it harder to sort out the basics…
And, yes? For bloodwork? Those many, many VIALS are necessary. Wish it weren’t so? But they are essential keys to getting a diagnosis.
There is a heap more information here. Just go to it and ask questions if you don’t think your docs are doing enough for your diagnosis. ASKing gets you lots farther than demanding…be sure you’ve got good info such as from here to back you up!
Keep at it one and all. Keep faith in yourself and hope as well.
Also? Remember that any one doctors’ opinion is just that? AN ‘opinion’! Lots of docs don’t have always the right opinions for any one of us. So keep asking questions and press for any crumbs of answers you can get.

The first neurologist I saw admitted right out front, that he was not an expert in neuropathies at all. I couldn’t get to the neurologist that I found out from this website was the grandest of all in my area, unless I had a referral from him. A six month wait to get the best.Fight hard to find one you know and trust. There are not a whole of them out there that specialize in this.

Take Care, Val.
