Looking for neurologist in Arizona

    • May 7, 2008 at 9:31 pm

I have had conflicting diagnosis’ from 4 years of IVIG, to a new doc that says it is not and won’t treat me. Does anyone have familiarity with a neuro with CIDP knowledge in Arizona? My new doc says all symptoms are sensory and not muscle weakness.

      Hello,
Some of us would try to help you but we need to know where in Arizona. What is the nearest city you can travel to?

I live in Tucson and can travel anywhere in the state. Thanks for any help.

      Hello,
I think this name sounded familiar to me because he was one of the neurologists who spoke about GBS/CIDP at the Phoenix Symposium two years ago, so if you can travel to Phoenix try to see Dr. David Saperstein as your first choice. Our foundation can confirm it and give you more info about how to contact him.

Another neuropathy site recommends these doctors, but I don’t know if they are familiar with GBS and CIDP.
Dr. David Bamford, University of Arizona, College of Medicine
      Tuscon

And Mayo Clinics usually are know for excellent doctors,
      Dr. Benn Smith,
      Scottsdale
