I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre in 1991 and have been left with foot drop. Just recently I had been told my left fallopian is now blocked and after a couple of tests it has been confirmed that it is from a pelvic infection from 20 years ago. The infertility specialist I had gone to said it was not fact caused from GBS, has anyone have had this problem?

I had two children 10 years apart, first time i fell pregnant immediately, second time it took me 5 years. I did not go to any doc’s during that time to find out if there was a problem. So long story short, no, i didnt have that problem.
Nancie, is there anything they can do because it is blocked?

      Hi Ali,

      Thanks for the response.

When I had the laparpscopy the gynecologist had tried to remove the blockage there was just way to much scarring that it could have caused further damage. I could have in-vitro fertilization and according to the fertility specialist it is only a 40% chance of it working. It’s a lot of decisions to think about at this stage of the game.

      Take Care,
      Nancie

      Nancie,

I am truly sorry to hear about everything you are going through as well as the tough decisions you are having to make. I have a vague memory of speaking with someone many years back who also had a blockage that couldnt be rectified, Im just trying to think how she did manange to get pregnant, because I know that that was the outcome. Aaaaah, I hate it when I remember the basic facts but cant remember anything else.:o
