      Hi all,

Finally have the appt with the PN specialist *I think*

Had a msg on my machine today when I got home. Appt is Nov 27th. Was told to bring list of meds and not to wear any body lotion. I’m to report to Neuro diagnostics…so I guess I’m have another test done but I have no idea what test..or if I will be seeing the new neuro after.

Guess I’m going to have to call on Monday to get clarification.

Hi Linda…..how are you feeling? Thanks so much for the well wishes and the hugs!

Hi Alice, I just can’t figure out what is happening with this appt. I have not met the doctor yet but it sounds like I’m going to have another test not meet the doctor. I think he might be sending me for another NCV as it will be exactly 6 months from my last one. Maybe he is looking for progression before he sees me? If this is for another NCV I hope the do the EMG too this time. I’d hate to have to wait another few months to be scheduled for that after.

Anyway I guess I will try to reach the ofc on Monday to find out what exactly is going to be happening at that appointment. Will let you know what I find out.

It sounds like the dr wants to do another EMG/NCV.

You should still be able to have an appointment with the dr. Some dr’s like to conduct their own EMG/NCV’s themselves.

The dr probably wants to meet with you, discuss your symptoms & what meds you are taking, then do an EMG/NCV.

I don’t think they would just schedule you for any tests before meeting with the dr.

      Good luck,
      Kelly

PS, you should call every few weeks to see if there have been any cancellations – then you could get in sooner.

Well I spoke with the neurologist’s secretary this morning. I am scheduled for an NCV on the 27th of November but not the EMG. I will be seeing the new Neurologist after the test is done. I then asked her what do I do between now and November if something comes up. Call the old neuro or the new one. She told me to call the old Neuro. She was reviewing my appointment time and said she would also put me on a cancellation list in case an appointment comes up sooner.
