Hi Liz! Hope your Halloween is a great one! My two daughters are both little witches! My middle daughter was born November 1st and I went into Labor Halloween night! My son when I had him my water broke at the time of him being born so I really did not know what it was like having my water break. We all were tuckered out that night and went to bed around 10 and I woke up at close to midnight having to go to the bathroom. Sat down on the toilet seat and starting doing my tinkle and the water kept flowing! ๐ I sat on that toilet a solid hour and was still going! Finally start hollowing to my husband to get me a blanket to put between me! My daughter was not due yet either. She was 3 weeks early! Weighed 4 pounds 9 ounces. 3 years later and I am expecting my 3rd child and she was a problem pregnancy. I had been in the hospital 3 different times with her and my last month I was in the hospital I had partial placenta previa and the doctors would not let me go home because of a possible hemoraging problem if something happened and they told me within a matter of seconds I could bleed to death. So the night before Halloween while staying in that boring Hospital after being there a month totally bedbound. I woke up early Halloween morning thinking my water broke. She too was 3 weeks early! I woke up all excited that my water broke but when I lifted the sheets back it was a huge puddle of blood. Scared me to death! Nurses came down and saw the blood and they wisked me off to surgery and had to do emergency C-Section. I lost 5 units of blood! My baby daughter was born 10-31 and weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces. Guess I got a Halloween trick and treat on this one! Bad thing about having two children born a day apart on Halloween! Is making their birthday’s special. So the night before Halloween we would have a Birthday party for both girls. The next night we would go to Halloween parties and collect candy! Then the day after Halloween they would ask me what we were going to have today mommy?
I am like you Liz! I love watching the spookie movies too. Seems like this is the time of year to watch them. I’m kind of tired seeing Halloween Movie though with Jason and Freddie movie! They have worn those two movies out. But I like the other ones they have out! I like the vampire movies the best! Oh ghost type movies! -

Hi Liz! Never heard of that movie! Hmm! Now you got me wanting to find it so I can see what it’s about! I saw one movie the other night that was pretty good. A new Vampire Movie. 30 Days of Night! I remember when I was young and they had a Soap Opera called Dark Shadows. My mom loved watching that soap. She got me and my sister both addicted to it. We would come home from school and watch that soap everyday. Then they came out with the movies. When Ebay came along I found a seller in there that had the whole set of the soaps on VHS. She didn’t have a reserve on them and I got the set for $50.00. Every October I get them out and watched them. Beautiful Halloween Decorations here in the site now. Makes it feel like fall now! Hugs

Hi Liz! Saw another good movie last night that was pretty good. We don’t rent movies much or by the DVD’s when they come out because we have Direct TV and get all the pay channels. Great horror movie called I Am Legend! Very good movie! I am having a good time watching all these great movies. This is my time of year. They also have a series coming this Friday called Santuary. I want to see that too! You got me in the mood for Halloween!

I was sleeping over at a friend’s house in junior high, and we had watched “Mr. Sardonicas” that evening. I never shut my eyes all night long, because of the aftermath of horror of that movie. To top it all, I had to leave early in the morning, because my parents wanted me home before breakfast, so I got up and left when everyone else was sleeping and the house was pitch dark. On leaving the house, I saw that the whole town was enveloped in a thick fog. I still remember the prayers I sent up as I made my way home, each footstep clattering on the sidewalk in the semi-darkness before dawn. There came a point when I didn’t think I could go on, I was that scared, but somehow I kept inching my way home, till I was finally there.

Don’t have a movie to tell but back in the early 80’s before I met my second husband, I had a boyfriend that wanted me to go to the Pocono Mountains with him to meet his mother. There was a lady that he worked with by the name of Grace and she thought alot of Enrico! He was Italian! Anyway, I decided to go with him to meet his mother.
Grace had been out of work and was dying of cancer. And she wanted Rico to be a palbearer at her funeral when she died. That very weekend we were upstairs and it was a very cold house with coal heat. She only had a two bedroom house so me and Rico had to share the same room. The bedroom door was left open so the heat would circulate. Both of us were sleeping and I suddenly felt a very cold draft. I opened my eyes and when I did I saw a lady standing in front of the bed on Rico’s side. I started freaking out! Rico woke up and asked me what was wrong and I told him his mother has ghost in her house. He started laughing at me!
The next morning, I was at the breakfast table and told him what I saw and described the lady all in detail. Rico looked at me funny and said that sounded just like Grace. I never met Grace in person but heard him talk of her often. So he knew I did not know what she looked like. A few minutes later the phone rings and it is Rico’s brother in law. They both worked at the same place and his brother in law was married to Rico’s sister. He called to tell Rico that Grace died last night and before she died she asked everybody to contact Rico and let him know she needed him to carry her to heaven!
So we left our trip early and came back home. He wanted me to go to the viewing with him and when we both got to the coffin, it was the same lady I saw in the room with us that night! I have had a few more experiences like this but will tell that in another story! Do you believe in ghost? Unless you see one for yourself you may wonder! But I believe in ghost!

Liz – thank you for the halloween gif’s – I check them first thing (tee-hee-hee)
Donna – I remember Mr. Sardonicas – one of the most disturbing and scary movies I ever saw.
I remember hearing a scary program when I was a teen in 1966 – driving around in the car. It was called “Inside Out”. It was really spooky. -

Liz,
That black cat in the web looks just like my “dropped off” cat we took in about a three years ago……………….named him “Vegas”, as we found him near our dumpster upon a return home trip from Las Vegas in 2005! Solid black, just like your Halloween kitty…:)
I (as everyone else) really enjoy your “gifts”. I look here every day or (Morning, for me…;)
Have fun in Chicago……..I won’t be going for several reasons………….but I really want to attend one of these Symposiums one of these days ๐
