GBS Mystery Diagnosis episode repeat on 11/24

Just wanted to give a heads up, that a repeat of my GBS episode of “Mystery Diagnosis” from 2007 will be on at 7:00pm EST on Wednesday November 24th on Discovery Health. The segment dealing with my GBS is the second one, about 30 minutes in.
It’ll be bittersweet watching it now because my friend who is interviewed in the epsiode, Derrill, passed away suddenly last month. But hopefully it’ll be a nice introduction to GBS for those watching for the first time.

I just finished watching Mystery Diagnosis; prior to today, I’d never heard of the program. I almost cried when you described the sensations and how you felt as it was parallel to my own experience. It was almost surreal.
I’m thankful and I’m sure you are as well, that the neurologist started treatment before your nerves were damaged beyond repair. In addition, I’m very happy the IVIG stopped the progression. I’ve often wondered if IVIG has better results than PE.
You were also very blessed to work for an employer who allowed you to change jobs.
My condolences on the loss of your friend Darrell. He seemed to be a very good and supportive friend.

ive looked around the discovery health site trying to find that episode to watch it , with no luck. anyone know where i may find it online to watch it.

Thank you everybody for the kind words about my friend, I really do appreciate it. He was a great guy, and if you’ve seen the episode they kind of overplayed his “blame” for my GBS…it’s something we kidded each other about often.
For those who were interested, it’s on again this [B]Sunday 12/5 at noon[/B].
