Hi all:

There is a GBS Fatigue Study going on. They need more participants.
The first part is a questionaire. The second part is an EMG – NO NEEDLES!!!
Just checking 4 nerves on ONE side of your body. YOU will need to come
to the University of Minnesota for the second part. So if you live in
Minnesota OR a neighboring state and are willing to participate, please
contact:
Dr. Kevin Brown brown483@umn.edu

Dr. Brown is doing the study with Dr. Gareth Parry. Remember the research
currently shows 85% of GBS’ers get back nerve and muscle function at 100%.
The fact is: only 15% do and 85% have dibilitating fatigue. So please, if you
are interested in making a difference, contact Dr. Brown.

If I can answer any questions, feel free to leave me a message here.
Of course it hurt… but honestly… NOT MUCH and then it was over!!

If I can make a difference to anyone later on, I am happy to do it. It all
took about an hour to complete the Neuro examine and EMG. Time well
spent.

Blessings Maureen Boz

It sure helps with everyone who is willing to participate.

Hopefully it will help as written research for any GBS’er
of the future.

Bless you……

Maureen, thanks for the info. I’ve emailed Dr. Brown and heard back today, so I’ll be participating in the study.

Did I read a post that said you live in Hastings? If so, I’m in Burnsville, neighbor! 🙂 How long have you had GBS and how are you doing? I’m 9 months into it and hoping to walk on my own by the end of the summer.

Again, thanks — be well!
