      Hey Friends!
Has anyone viewed the DVD that has been produced by the Foundation? I will probably purchase it, but I wanted to get some feedback from those who have viewed it.
I was diagnosed with GBS in Sept 06…I am a high school teacher and a Varsity Football (Inside Linebackers) and Baseball coach. When it hit me it floored me. The day before I was running step by step with the kids…I hurt a little, but at 41 what doesn’t hurt? The next day I was flat of my back in ICU. Fortunately the ER Doc had some experience with this and had his finger on it in the first 5 minutes. Paralysis went up to the waist…I went thru five treatments of PP…which literally just about killed me…blood pressure suddenly dropped out of sight…I got movement back quickly…They told me I would be in the hospital for a couple of months…I told them I was walking out of there by the end of the week…6 days later…I walked out of ICU…all of 7 steps…not much, but I did it! I was out for six weeks…in and out of the hospital…I went back to work too early…our Football team was 7-0 and we were making a run for district and state…a big thing in Texas. The pain is still pretty incredible at times…I have put down my cane…btw…I had only been married for 2.5 months when this hit…my wife is a saint!
My life is characterized these days by pain…I am not the man I was 5 months ago…but I am getting there…GBS will not beat me…For myself, my family, my friends, and my support group…we will win!

Thanks for putting up with my rambling…thanks for listening.

      Go Colts!

      Hi Danny
I havn’t seen the dvd but i can tell you anything the foundation puts out is top notch. I am glad to see you have such a positive attitude and are willing to work for what you want. Because GBS is definitely a lot of work. Take care and good luck with the kids.
