I just don’t know about those tennessee titians. Star quarterback Mcnair leavin. Pacman in trouble with the law.. They been going downhill for a few years now.
      Listen to this.
This is another 80’s story, you know the glory days..
I lived in a small apartment building and was supposed to keep up with the goings on around there, got a discount for that and the fact that I worked for the owner as an electrician.
Feller by the name of King Irwin moved in. His brother was Tim Irwin, who was a lineman for the Minnasota Vikings. King asked me if I wanted to go fishin one day, we had been out to the local river and fished a couple of times… his brother was coming in to ck out Watts Bar Lake for a bass tournment, and would I like to go.. heck ya. Tim rolled up to pick us up, big bass boat, largest engine allowed, same colors as the Vikings. We rolled into the Marina, and I guess they knew we where coming. It was crazy. People fallin out of the woodwork to help launch the boat, park his ride, all that stuff.
I don’t think I have been next to that large a person since. If I remember correctly he was 6ft 6 in tall, weight around 270. His arms where bigger than my legs. The thing about him I remember the most, were the scars across his shoulder and back from many operations to work on that shoulder…He wore us out. Stayed out all day, nothing but heat an sun.. I was so sunburned it made me sick. Didn’t seem to bother him, he left his shirt off the whole time…
I got a chance to visit his home in Knoxville a couple of times. Its been years, but his brother told me he went on to Law School, when he retired from football and was rakin it in as an agent for pro football players. They was good people, but I lost contact with them over the years. Thats the way it was…

I’m a little late getting here so i’ll start with this.

U of U first and always!
BYU if not playing U of U!

      Dallas Cowboys!
Been a fan since I was 5 or 6, for this reason. My brother who is 8 years older than me was watching Miami and Dallas play back in the 70’s. (he was and still is a diehard Dolphins fan) anyway, I was standing kinda close to the tv and my brother yelled at me to get back because I was a jinx and he didn’t want me to jinx the game! I looked at him and went ooga..booga and flipped my fingers at the tv. Then ran like heck to get away from him. Miami lost! He came looking for me and beat the crap out of me! I remember crying and still being defiant, telling him that the Dolphins are a bunch of sissys and he must be one too if he liked them! To this day he thinks that I jinxed Miami forever! He blames me every time they lose! Don’t you love it! I was his punching bag for as long as I can remember but I get the last laugh!
      I love rubbing it in!

      Hey,

I don’t watch much football but my son plays Varsity Football and his team is in the playoffs. We traveled about 2 hours to see his game one way and then back in the same day and I made the trip just fine with napping before I left. They won their game and it was so exciting to be able to be there and cheer him on. I thank God for that. I still have a little difficulty going up the bleachers. Once I get a seat I stay there. This Friday we play close to home and I can’t wait to see him play. It is cold here in Michigan and a little rainy but I bundle up. My husband and son are avid football fans. Michigan and the Lions are their teams. My son also is a Packer’s fan.

      Blessings

      Dave,

Rutgers will be a tough game for Louisville – a road game, against an undefeated team, after a big win over West Virginia. Rutgers is under rated (my opinion). Louisville better have their heads straight, and their game plan together for this one, and not be looking ahead. But, Louisville is capable…;)

      Take care.

Rutgers won…and they deserved the win – They were the team that wanted the win. Louisville didn’t show up for the 2nd half.

I was afraid that this may happen…and it did. Now they will regroup, and start scoring 50+ a game again.

You hear all the moaning and groning about the Eastern Confrence teams, Louisville and Rutgers not belonging in the BCS – But you don’t see Florida or Texas holding up their hands saying, “Hey, we want to play them.”

The Big 10: Thank goodness for Wisconsin and Penn State. 2-4 in Bowl games!

And Ohio State, no. 1, with the Heisman Trophy winner — OSU lays the golden egg, and Troy Smith probably cost himself millions. What a miserable performance for a football team, especially the team rated no. 1, and that’s my opinion.

      January 9, 2007 at 5:45 pm

Yeah OSU didn’t look like the same team I had seen play many times this year, and Troy Smith looked average. Florida just seemed to want it more. Would of loved to see a Big Ten National Champion but Florida deserves it. Also the first school to win the National Championships in the same year (Basketball and Football), that is pretty cool.

You have to wonder what Ginn thinks of his teammates now after they injured his ankle in the first 17 seconds of the game. I can hope there won’t be a whole lot of celebrating in the end zones from now on. It might have cost him his pro ball career. ๐Ÿ™

Go Payton, and go COLTS! Scr*w the Bears! Just my two cents! I’m surprised I haven’t been beaten up at work with a picture of Payton on my desktop! ๐Ÿ™‚

This was the only game I watched this year! I’m not a Bear or Colt fan…..:)

There’s only one reason that the Colts beat Chicago. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

They are a better team.
