Does anyone have CIDP with cranial nerve involvement. Our daughter developed Bells Palsy in April and has relapsed twice and it still hasn’t fully recovered. She also experiences double vision in her right eye sometimes. I am wondering it she has MFV of Lewis-Sumner.

My daughter had cranial nerve or 6th nerve palsy for about two weeks after she was overinfused with ivig. They gave it to her too quickly and she became aseptic. Emily’s mom has much experience with this. Do a search with cranial and you can read past posts.

I have sensory CIDP and also have cranial nerve involvement. When I am tired my eyesight will blur and also the left side of my face (the side that was affected during my first attack) will look a bit more droopy than the other side. These things usually improve after I rest – I actually need two different pairs of prescription strength glasses – I find I need the 2x stronger ones when my CIDP is playing up – strange hey??
      Good luck,
