There is a product out of Germany called BARITIN claiming to be
“An amazing 100% Guaranteed Treatment for G.B.S.”
I think it is a scam! Does anyone know anything about it.

This looks similar to the website that was taken down a number of months ago in Scotland. I think these people move addresses and reset up the company under different names. UK GBS website cautions, at the top of the forum, against fraudulent websites, and honestly I think this is one of them. This may well be something that is ‘good’ for your body – but the only treatments as such are PP and IVIg. I have not found any info on the website that provides me with any relevant information other than the below info … which doesnt tell us much – and if GBS reaches its nader within 4 weeks (28 days), and after a further 2 weeks you can move your little finger after being totally paralyzed, I doubt very much they will refund your money because the results would be ‘satisfactory’. Nifty little swindlers these people are!!!!

Went back into the posts to retrieve the answer I got when asking for more details from the Scotland based ‘fraudsters’ – Answer following. What I find interesting is that in the answer they say it helps prevent the situation from worsening. Well ….. if it takes a week to diagnose GBS, and two weeks to get your order, leaving only a week for the ‘situation’ to possibly get worse (by which time we know most of us has reached our worst) Then, can I state the obvious  Of course the situation wont get worse!!!!! So now you’ve been scammed and lost money for nothing.
Dear Alison
Thank you for your mail.
Our remedy is not intended as a cure, but as an effective treatment to prevent the situation from worsening.
Our remedy has no effect on permanently damaged nerves.
Our efficacy rates are around 40%.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Yours Sincerely,

Know im being a pain, but this is the thread address that started everything rolling.
http://www.gbs-cidp.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2035&page=2
It turned out that these people were promising the same things for other illnesses too.

the ingredients in that stuff is very similar to Hylands Calms Forte. Not a cure but it sometimes helps calm your nerves….tension, stress, that sort of thing. But certainly doesnt help with GBS pain, resids, etc. “Cures” tick me off because they falsely raise peoples hopes and raid their wallets. *sigh*
