An expertise for a correct diagnosis

My sister was diagnosed with GBS last December a few weeks after giving birth to her 5th child. The symptoms came in slow progression during these months. Now she is in a wheelchair and her hands started to paralyzed 3 weeks ago. The neurologists that treat her doesn’t have the experience. We need a physician to diagnose correctly and give her proper treatment. Any recommendation in Atlanta, GA?
      Thank you so much!!!

Please see the following discussion thread about Doctors in Atlanta:

You should also contact the liason in Atlanta and ask him for referrals:

GBS usually peaks in 6 to 8 weeks and then slowly dissipates. If your sister is still experiencing onset, it could be the more chronic version CIDP. If so, she may need Plasma Exchange followed by IVIg. Please read up about conditions and treatments here:

Your sister will need to have a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) to confirm a diagnosis of GBS. Finding a doctor familiar with this stuff would be ideal for her situation.
