      Hi,
I would like to know if alcohol intolerance is a symptom of CIDP. I can’t drink any alcohol or use tincture because I am very sensitive for it and it makes me really sick.

It might be due to an interaction with medications.

ever since this whole thing hit me (started with bad GI symptoms associated with tachycardia) I can’t tolerate alcohol much either.. I wasn’t on any meds at first – one night I had two glasses of wine and seriously thought I was going to kill over the next day – heart rate in the 140s (I drank plenty of water that night and morning and it was only 2 glasses of wine).. i have only tried a small glass since then, but I do feel quite bad the next day.. though now I am on meds, just started plaqunil so I wont be even trying it for a while due to that! I miss my glass of wine with dinner at times!

I have found that alcohol only makes the burning in the feet and hands worse. If I have one beer, I will pay for it for hours. I have to put my feet in cold water for a while to take away the burning
