      Hi all:
My 29 Y old nephew was diagnosed with GBS 2 Mo ago, we live in Mexico and he is already recovering at home. He lost movement from the neck down.
Unfortunatly he was admited back to the hospital last week because of pneumonia, I undesrtand this is a “common” infection among GBS recovering patients.
My question how to best prevent pneumonia?

      regards to all.

      hi luis & welcome,

others will know more than i, but it is bad to let someone lye down too long w/o making him sit up. pneumonia & gbs do not mix well. make sure they are treating his pneumonia aggressively. take care. be well.

Thank ou Gene for your advise, we are going to be more careful now.
We know that GBS and pneumonia do not mix well. This forum is great, we live in a small town and GBS being rare imagine in a smal town.
      Thanks again and god bless.
