Wow, the vein thing.

I noticed that both times I got infusions that the vein pretty much disappears. that is weird. I have these two big ones that usually run down from my elbow to my wrist. Since infusions, there gone.

I do know that if you work muscle into the arms the veins are more visible. when I was lifting alot. they come out all over. the lower the body fat, the more visible the vein. usuallly. I am starting the routines back up to increase circulation, lower the BMI and bring the veins up to the top. Like Dawn said though at some point, the port will be the way to go.–tim–

I got lucky this time no headache no nausea. Its Tuesday, I should be in the clear I hope, KNock on wood. KNock KNock! LOL

Hello, Sorry it has taken so long to answer. Today is the first time i have been able to get back to the web site. Mason has only had the benadryl IV one other time. He cried then too. I was not fast enough this time to stop her. I told Dr M I wanted it put on the orders, only by mouth. He is doing better, he got the flu while in the hospital getting a treatment jan 25. He has been having the bad headaches again, so we are going back to every three weeks IVIG. He has straight A’s in school. He grew alot when we gave him a lower dose of steroids. I had the flu three days after him, I am still coughing. I have torn something in my stomach from coughing so much. I have been in and out of hospital for a week. We are doing great, other than this.
I hope yall are doing well, I talked to Lori last night. Dell was in the hospital next to me and I did not get to go see them. Maybe next month Dell and Mason will get to go have there treatment the same night. Take care….

My older son Nick has this and has since birth. They said it is a type of hemangioma. If he puts his hand down and the blood goes to it, it gets bigger. The dr. compares it to cauliflower like in appearence. If he puts his hands up, it gets smaller. Since his is a vascular issue, she said to watch it and if it ever becomes a bigger problem, they would remove that vein and redirect it. Currently it is not a problem other that cosmeticaly. I don’t know if this is what you are describing, hope it helps. Dawn
