Understanding reimbursement,and advocating for ivig

Here’s an excellent article from IG Living (April/May ’07) discussing Medicare determinations for coverage, guidelines on dosage, and advocating for ivig when treatment has been denied. This article has information for many neurological indications (not just immunodeficiency). It highlights the differences in implementation at the state level.

This can be useful for new patients/caretakers as many insurance companies look to Medicare to set the standard.
