Rubies!

Inspired by all the wonderful views of waterfalls and other scenic landscapes, I hereby give you a close-up of how unpredictable and fascinating nature can present itself if you stop and take the time to look closely – here for instance I suddenly discovered a whole colony of tiny rubies in the bedrock out on our islet ouside the island. I have been running (in the days of yore) around on the cliffs of this islet since I was very young, but only this summer did I notice the gems. It might be because now I have to take it v-e-r-y easy when I move over from where we get ashore to the best spot for sun-bathing:
