Reply To: Prayers Needed

Thanks Again for All the Prayers and Thoughts:) They are working! Dad will be on the vent through the night just to give him the little extra boost he needs. He is doing good for just going through a 9 1/2 hour surgery that was only going to take 4 1/2 hours to perform:eek: I can’t wait to see him tomorrow without the tubes all over.

Soo far we have had to ask just the right questions to get even the simpliest answers from some of the drs and nurses. It seems like its always a chore to get my Dad the treatment he needs and deserves. To get the nurses to attend to him and not forget he is in his little hole of a room in the corner. Maybe it has something to do with his room number–13;) I feel really good about the nurses in the sicu, they are really professional and take the time to watch him and answer our questions. Mom feels more relaxed so that is a good thing. Mom has left the advocating to my brother and myself, good thing he is older and knows what he is doing.
