This problem with Angelfire really has been bugging me a lot. So I did a few more experiments. I grabbed the URL from other Angelfire websites and posted it here. At first they look fine. But when I went back an hour later they were gone replaced by an Angelfire icon. I just created a quick web page (index.htm) with a link to your photo and uploaded it to my own website. Same problem. See http://www.ourbluemarble.us/forum/LadyKITUSA/index.htm

When I called up that same webpage file (index.htm) directly from my computer it works fine. See picture.

So this is obviously an Angelfire problem and in my opinion very intrusive. I would suggest you contact them and complain about it.

I went to some other Angelfire websites and was able to post the pictures without problems as long as they were not too big. See example above. The link I used looks quite different from yours:

I also was not able to go to your website using kitsscrapbook.angelfire.com

Any thoughts?

This is puzzling. You made the right change but Angelfire seems to prevent linking. When I paste the link into Internet Explorer I can get the photo fine. I copied it to my desktop and looked at it with Photoshop to see if there is anything weird about it. Looks OK.

The only way around it I can think of right now is to use my second tutorial.

Thanks for the excellent advice! I’m starting (on my own) water exercise next week. Your ideas are great. Any more???

PS: Putting off water exercise in a heated pool until the weather gets below 90 degrees. Hopefully next week.
