I get the grit feeling eyes

My eyes will get like they have a sand pebble in them and hurts like you know what when it happens and then I will get all teary eyes and not be able to move my eye much at all. Have to keep it closed for the pain to stop. Even went to see an eye doctor and complained about getting double vision at times, weird eye movements and gritty feeling eyes. Then I get itchy eyes and they get dry. Just found out it was my thyroid gland causing the eye issues. Never knew the thyroid could attack the eyes! I guess I learned something else new with my diseases. Never a dull moment is it being sickly! Right when you think you have yourself figured out something else pops up to surprise you wondering what it is! Hope you feel better soon!
