Again, if you do not consider Boston too far, there are probably very good neuromuscular specialists at any of the major hospitals downtown. I see Dr. Anthony Amato at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he is director of the Neuromuscular Program. He is also the author of one of the standard textbooks in Neuromuscular Disorders, and is quite personable as well as knowledgeable.
