Animated photos

Glad you all enjoyed the pictures. Kids are fun to photograph, aren’t they?
Linda, it’s quite complicated. We finally learned how to take videos with our new digital camera. That is the easy part.
1. download video -usually .avi format
2. Use video editing program (there are a number around) and select a short 1 or 2 second segment
3. Copy every fifth frame as a still photo – there are 30 per second
4. Use Photoshop to assemble animated picture in .gif format from the saved frames – this is the most complicated part
It takes 2 software programs which usually are not cheap.
